"According to the reports that have emerged so far, this is not a film criticizing the IDF and is not an attempt to ascertain the truth. It is based on blood libels, deliberate distortion of reality, and false and serious accusations against IDF soldiers and commanders," Zamir said in a statement.
Why It’s Conflation
NAZA, a documentary by two Israeli filmmakers, alleges Israel's military knowingly killed large numbers of civilians in Gaza. The IDF chief of staff said it's "based on blood libels." Allegations about a military's conduct are something to answer with facts, not the name of an old lie about Jews.
What Actually Happened
NAZA is a 2026 documentary by Israeli filmmakers Yuval Abraham and Rachel Szor that investigates the use of artificial intelligence and automated surveillance in Israeli military targeting during the Gaza war, and documents the killing of Palestinian civilians by Israeli forces.
