Why It’s Conflation
South Africa accused Israel of genocide in court. The Conference of Presidents said the accusation itself is a form of blood libel, the medieval lie about Jews. A legal accusation against a state isn’t that.
What Actually Happened
South Africa asked the International Court of Justice to find that Israel's military campaign in Gaza violated the Genocide Convention and to order Israel to halt it; the Court's preliminary ruling did not call for a ceasefire or label Israel's actions genocidal.
