Why It’s Conflation
A boycott of a country is a political tactic. Here the U.S. government declared one to be antisemitism and ordered officials to find the groups involved and cut their funding. That’s the manipulation as official U.S. policy.
What Actually Happened
BDS is the campaign for boycotts, divestment and sanctions against Israel. The statement also targets "discriminatory labeling and the publication of databases of companies that operate in Israel or Israeli-controlled areas."
