Why It’s Conflation
A boycott of a country is a political tactic. Germany’s parliament declared this one antisemitic as a whole and moved to cut off funding for anyone who supports it. Artists and academics in Germany have lost events and prizes because of that vote.
What Actually Happened
BDS is the campaign for boycotts, divestment and sanctions against Israel. The Bundestag resolution vowed not to finance projects that call for a boycott of Israel.
