Why It’s Conflation
Airbnb’s policy was about a place, not a people. It covered settlements in occupied territory, which most of the world considers illegal. DeSantis called it targeting Jews and put Florida’s government to work punishing the company.
What Actually Happened
Airbnb announced in November 2018 that it would remove the listings of some 200 apartments and homes in West Bank Jewish settlements.
