"Die BDS-Bewegung ist in ihren Handlungen und Zielen antisemitisch." In English: "The BDS movement is antisemitic in its actions and goals." (Our translation.)
Why It’s Conflation
BDS is a boycott campaign against a state, modeled on the one against apartheid South Africa. Some of its supporters are antisemites. Klein, speaking for the German government, said the movement itself is, goals and all. That brands everyone who backs a boycott of Israel, whatever their reason.
What Actually Happened
BDS is the campaign for boycotts, divestment and sanctions against Israel. Klein's description in the same answer: activists "try to isolate Israel and defame it as an alleged apartheid state." (Our translation.)
